August 17, 2007 13:52 - Centex Homes Indianapolis Showcase Homes or Centex Spec Homes-Big Markdowns!
I just received a list of Centex Spec Homes or Centex Showcase Homes. Centex Homes Indianapolis are taking big markdowns on their Showcase Homes. There is one in Brownsburg located in Lake Ridge with a $105,870 markdown. It is a former model home, the original price was $330,770 and it is now $224,900.
Centex Homes Indianapolis is not the only builder with a large inventory of spec homes. Most of the major builders in the Indianapolis Metro Area are sitting with more than usual inventory of spec homes and they are just as anxious to sell them as Centex Homes.
I did a search this week for a client that was looking at Pulte Homes Indianapolis, Drees Homes Indianapolis, and Estridge Homes Indianapolis and all three had a ample supply of spec homes.
If you are considering building a new home in the Indianpolis area you may want to first check out the supply of spec homes in Indianapolis and surrounding counties.
Also, if you are just looking to buy an existing home, you may be able to buy a new spec home for around the same price.
The interest rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage has been pretty stable, around 6.5%-6.75%.
